Challenge
PMI needed to translate a high-impact global accessibility experience from its Lausanne headquarters into a new U.S. location within a compressed timeline. A primary challenge was serving as the strategic bridge between the client’s vision and the production vendor to ensure design integrity. This required managing a strict $60,000 "all-in" budget—which had to cover all professional hourly rates, materials, production, installation, and site visits. Success depended on balancing the vendor’s profit-driven requirements with the need for a premium, immersive result, ensuring every dollar was maximized without compromising the quality of the original concept.

Approach
Acrylic Sign Rendering
We developed an immersive "Simulation" visual language—using a tactile, multi-modal design strategy—to physically "frame" the educational content. This approach leveraged deep-rooted print and signage expertise to bridge the gap between creative vision and technical execution. By drawing on past experience in the sign industry, I was able to identify high-impact, cost-effective materials and accurately forecast production costs, ensuring the project recommended the best product for each task while staying under budget. Furthermore, the development of precise, high-fidelity mockups was pivotal in securing immediate client approval, streamlining the transition to production and keeping the aggressive six-week timeline on track.
